Our Policies
Child Labor, Forced Labor and Youth Employment Policy
- Our organization develops practices in Turkey and in all other countries where it conducts business, represents and manages operations in compliance with all local laws on child labor, forced labor and youth employment, as well as United Nations International Labor Organization (UN International Labor Organization - ILO) standards and international agreements in these areas.
- Has Kutu corrugated cardboard and packaging industry does not allow child labor and forced labor and does not tolerate it in its suppliers.
- Has Kutu corrugated cardboard and packaging industry prohibits all forms of forced labor, including prison labor, apprenticeship contracts, debt-for-labor, military labor or slave labor, and all forms of human trafficking.
- Has Kutu corrugated cardboard and packaging industry allows youth employment, provided that the working hours do not exceed the working hours of the youth, and provided that they work part or full time in jobs that support the professional development of the young person and are classified as light work.
- Young workers or interns who will work in Has Kutu corrugated cardboard and packaging industry or its suppliers must be registered as required by local law.
- The young worker must be given a thirty-minute rest break for work lasting more than two hours and less than four hours, and a one-hour rest break in the middle of the work period for work lasting between four hours and seven and a half hours. In Turkey and in all other countries where it conducts business, represents and manages operations, it develops practices that comply with all local laws on child labor, forced labor and youth employment, as well as United Nations International Labor Organization (UN International Labor Organization - ILO) standards and international agreements in these areas.
- All suppliers employing young workers are required to comply with the standards set out in this Policy.
- When practices contrary to the principles and standards of this Policy are encountered, the business relationship with the supplier is terminated.
- Has Kutu corrugated cardboard and packaging industry expects its suppliers to apply the principles and standards of this policy when selecting and working with their suppliers.
Social Compliance Policy
- The main goal of our company is to create an environment where our employees can work in a healthy and satisfied manner. It is our duty to act in accordance with all national and international laws and regulations starting from the recruitment process of our employees. Along with recruitment, it is our responsibility not to discriminate in any way in our company, not to employ child labor, not to engage in any behavior that violates personal rights in any way, starting from the determination of working conditions, and to ensure the health and safety conditions of employees in the workplace.
- Our employees have the right to benefit from working hours, wage payment, vacation and leave practices within the framework of the Labor Law, and to become a member of and be represented by trade unions.
- It is essential to provide regular trainings to all personnel, including new recruits, and to raise awareness on working conditions, occupational health and safety.
- Bribery, corruption, etc. and any behavior that may lead to this is strictly prohibited in our company and in any action to be carried out outside on behalf of our company.
- Our principle is to apply the criteria of the Procurement Rules and to eliminate nonconformities by applying corrective actions when necessary and to continuously improve the system with the participation of all our employees.
- Accountability, transparency, effective behavior, respect for parties, respect for the law, respect for international norms of behavior are our policy.
Harassment and Discrimination Policy
Our organization respects the constitutional rights of all employees against Sexual, Psychological Harassment and Discrimination and does not compromise on this issue. People who show such unacceptable behavior will be referred to the Ethics Committee. Their employment contracts will be terminated immediately after their defenses are taken and if the violations they have committed are proven. It is of great importance for the Company to raise the awareness of all employees on the following concepts.
SEXUAL HARASSMENT AND ABUSE
It can be defined as behaviors that violate personal rights protected by the Turkish Civil Code and the Turkish Penal Code, or that create a disturbing working environment / disrupt the order of the workplace, although not directed at a specific person, that require imprisonment, or behaviors based on gender or sexual preference of a sexual nature that are contrary to the rules of morality and goodwill.
PSYCHOLOGICAL HARASSMENT (MOBBING)
It refers to the psychological and even physical aggressive behavior applied to the self-confidence of a person with the aim of intimidating the employee in a systematic and continuous frequency. In other words, it is to force absolute obedience, intimidate and harass a person or several people in the workplace by excluding, verbally or physically harassing a person whom they declare to be undesirable.
DISCRIMINATION
Unjust treatment that results in a person being treated worse than others because of their sex, race, skin color, religion or belief, political opinion, sexual orientation, age, disability or national, social or ethnic origin.
Employees who have concerns or complaints about these issues can leave their complaints in the wish/complaint boxes or contact the personnel unit directly.
FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION AND COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
Our organization respects the right of its employees to join, not join or form a union without fear of discrimination, dismissal, threats or harassment. It is committed to engaging in constructive dialogue with the freely chosen representatives of employees represented by a legally recognized union and to bargaining in good faith with those representatives.
